JI-1 Japan from a Global Perspective: What is Japanese Style Branding?
The picture of Japan as seen by the rest of the world is certainly changing. For example, in the Nation Brand Index, Japan surpassed Germany to become the first country in history to rank first out of 60 countries, and the first from the Asia-Pacific region to do so. But is this “strength in terms of aspects” being applied to corporate activities? Is this true on an individual company basis?
In this session, leaders from Shiseido, Ajinomoto, and Daikin Industries, which are active on a global scale, will gather to review what brands are, what branding is, and who are the executors of branding, based on multiple perspectives and real-life experiences. They will also discuss the factors that are important for Japan to reconsider its true strengths and take the initiative on the global stage with pride as Japanese people.
