ES-1 Rethinking Corporate Responsibility: Beyond SDGs and DE&I Checklists
As sustainability, AI, and technological innovation accelerate, and discussions on global common indicators for the “post-SDGs” era beyond 2030 are underway, the realization of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) is also emerging as a critical theme. At the same time, the international community is facing a complex macro environment marked by growing denial of diversity and deepening divisions. In this context, how should companies and brands approach industry and social issues and translate their perspectives into brand actions for the era ahead?
Within companies, business missions differ across organizational layers such as management and corporate functions, business development and digital transformation, and products and services. How can organizations build shared conviction and collaboration around new perspectives and the value of brand actions? Furthermore, why is brand action based on co-creation across organizational boundaries becoming indispensable?
From a macro and micro perspective, this session will broadly re-examine the future shape of value chains that can only be realized when operating companies, support firms, and media each engage with themselves as “brands” and co-create together.
