After working in the publishing industry in editorial publishing and international copyright negotiations, Motoko helped launch the Japanese edition of WIRED in 1994 and served as its business manager. She founded Mediagene Inc. in 1998, and established Infobahn Inc. in 2015 through a corporate spin-off. In 2023, she co-founded TNL Mediagene and became COO and President.
