Masaki brings more than 10 years of leadership experience in digital, with a strong strategy, marketing, and sales background. Prior to Performance Horizon, Masaki was Managing Director for digital agency AKQA. He was previously Head of Brand Strategy, East Asia for Twitter, where he launched its advertising products and lead strategic partnerships with TV broadcasters. He also served as Head of Sales Strategy and Operations at Google, and GM of iPhone business at Softbank, where he oversaw iPhone/iPad sales and marketing.
Prior to Hamura’s career in digital, he was a strategic planner at Hakuhodo, one of Japan’s largest advertising agencies and received the Gold Medallion, MAA Globes Award and the AME Award, New York Festival.
He holds a MSc in Urban Planning from Columbia University, and a Ph.D. from the University of Tokyo. Also teaching “Information and Media Strategy” at Graduate School of Public Policy, Meji University.
